Dear Brethren,
There is not much Mission news for me to report, although I am happy to report that First Baptist Church where we are members here in Science Hill, Kentucky, was able to raise a little over $12,000.00 for our Thanksgiving Offering to Baptist Faith Missions. We are already started on our offering for the Thanksgiving Offering for 2008, and I wish every church would get started and then follow up each month throughout the year.
Our pastor, Brother Ed Massey and family, were away on vacation during the holidays and that gave me the opportunity to preach one Sunday and two Wednesdays. I always enjoy these opportunities and the Lord blessed us with very good attendance, even on Wednesday nights. I trust the preaching was a blessing to all that attended.
On Christmas night Betty fell in our living room, breaking her leg. The small bone in her left leg was broken just above the ankle. I took her to an Urgent Care Center, where they x-rayed her leg and then applied a splint. The next day I took her to a bone specialist that applied a cast. Now she only understands that it hurts, but has no idea why. I am taking care of her here at home. It takes about two hours to give her a bath, to get her dressed, get her out of bed, and to get her breakfast, and by that time I am tuckered out. I am eighty-one and she will be eighty-one also in just two days and we are doing just fine. The Lord has been and still is very good to us. Betty no longer knows my name, but she still knows that we love each other and that I am the one that takes care of her, and that is about all she remembers.
In His Love,
Bobby D. Creiglow
