Dear Brethren,

While in the States for a couple of weeks, our son Mike spent several days with Betty and me and that was the best news for us that we have had in a very long time. Of course, Betty did not know him, but one day I told her, "Mike is here," and she asked him to come and give her a big hug; he did and that made the day for all of us. While he was here we talked about what we both know to be the inevitable concerning Betty.

The Thanksgiving Offering to Baptist Faith Missions was not nearly as much as it was last year and the need continues to grow. Already those offerings have almost all been used, leaving the General Fund in great need to meet the needs until next Thanksgiving. Here at First Baptist we use the Faith Promise giving program, which simply means we trust the Lord to give us a certain amount over and above what we normally receive. Within the next few months the federal government will be sending checks to those who have filed their income taxes, and since this is money that we did not expect, we will never miss it. For Baptist Faith Missions, June is Founders Month, so I would like to challenge each one that reads this to do the same. If each would take the challenge there is no telling just what the Lord might do for Baptist Faith Missions and for each of us individually. Designate your offering to Baptist Faith Missions, Founders Month Offering.

The Lord is still blessing Betty and me. Although Betty still knows I belong to her, she still wants to know where Bob went. She does not remember that I am her husband. On May 18th we will celebrate sixty-two years of marriage, or perhaps I should say, I will celebrate.

In His Name,

Bobby D. Creiglow
