Dear Brethren:

On Sunday morning after the group returned from Brazil, those young people came to Betty and I thanking us for our part in sending them on this trip. My first question to them was, "Did you get your money's worth?" And the unison response was a resounding YES. Betty and I greatly rejoiced!! We listened to them relate to us what they had experienced in the areas where we had worked for so many years.

One of the young men preached that morning and when the invitation was given there were ten or twelve people came forward stating one way or another that they wanted to get more involved in the work of the Lord. It was one of the greatest experiences of revival I have ever witnessed. I am sure greater things are in store for First Baptist Church of Science Hill, Kentucky in the near future.

As Missions Director of First Baptist Church I am working to make our third annual Missions Conference the very best it can be, and I am sure this one will be better than the two previous ones. Our homecoming will be October 1st and the conference will follow the next four nights.

Betty and I visited our daughters and their families in South Carolina this month and also relatives in Ohio. In Ohio also we attended a luncheon with my high school graduation class of 1945.
