Dear Friends,

We are getting what many missionaries only dream of. Within a period of only a few weeks, our church neighborhood has increased in population by several thousand due to the construction of dozens of apartment complexes. We receive first-time visitors in virtually all of our worship services now. The mission field has come to us. Many of those who come to our services are coming from other church backgrounds, some of whom are already Christians. Our real goal is to reach the great majority of the new residents who don´t know Christ yet and we are already making efforts to do that. This is an excellent opportunity for our church members and lay-workers.

We want to extend a special thanks to those who contributed generously toward our ministries this past month. We were, with the special offerings, able to purchase a much-needed gas powered electric generator for the Logos bus of Project Life and complete a few more furnishings for overnight sleeping in the bus.

Both of our teams spent most of the month of January in Santa Catarina, the next state south of us. We had some strong opposition during this trip, yet we also had some marvelous spiritual results. Dozens of people made public professions of their faith in Jesus Christ. In one town, the police arrived to inform us that we wouldn't be allowed to address a public audience in the city limit. Their attitude against us helped us remember that we are in a true spiritual battle against Satan and his strategies. We did have other meetings, though, that were well attended and the people were very attentive.

Our youth camp is coming up later on this month and we are looking forward to the opportunity of sharing the gospel and discipling those who will attend. Each time we hold a camp we discover one or several young people who desire to use their lives in full time service to God. We hope that this camp will provide more of that.

Continue to pray for us.

In Christ´s love,

Bobby, Charlene, Jessie and Brennen Wacaser
