Dear Friends,

The missionary to India, William Carey, coined the phrase, "Attempt great things for God; expect great things from God." I memorized that phrase many years ago, but I couldn't say that I had practiced it much since then. This past weekend we had the fantastic pleasure of seeing God do a great thing. We stepped out in faith on putting together a large scale evangelistic marriage workshop. It required our going way beyond our comfort zone in many areas. The result was that the gospel was preached to over 2,000 folks on two different nights! At the end of the Workshop we asked the participants to fill out a response sheet if they would like to participate in other meetings of the same nature. We were thrilled that every single response was affirmative. We attempted a great thing for God in the faith that He would bless, and bless He surely did! Now we have our hands full with the follow-up work with so many folks, and our hearts full with trust that God will enable us to do long range church planting and discipleship with those who have shown interest.

It is our aim to begin several new mission points at the same time with those folks who responded with so much interest. I am trying to locate meeting places large enough to accommodate the size of crowds that we are expecting at our first follow-up meetings. The people who attended came from various parts of our large city and we even had folks come from other towns and states. Our team members were overwhelmed with how much interest the folks showed in the clear teachings of God's word. Brother David Hatcher was our guest speaker at the marriage workshop and God used him in a great way.

I have come to see that God loves to bless faith. I've read about it in the Scriptures all my life, and I've seen how He blesses it in a practical way in my life today. I think I could get to like living as William Carey stated, "Attempt great things for God; expect great things from God." God, help me to trust You even more each day.

Please pray that we keep our eyes on Him.

In Christ's service,

Bobby, Charlene, Jessie, and Brennen Wacaser
