Dear Friends
Modern technology has dramatically changed many aspects of society since the days that Jesus walked physically on this earth, but there is one thing that hasn't changed: the heart of unconverted religious leaders. As we take the gospel from town to town, we are almost always welcomed by the larger population of citizenry, but many times the leaders of pseudo-Christian religions go out of their way to impede our outreach. A couple of weeks ago we were in the city of Prudentopolis to share the gospel in the public parks and schools. When the local priests and clergymen found out what our intentions were, they began to call for a list of their parishioners' signatures to bar us from public presentations in their town. We were forced to take our motorhome, Alpha, to the outskirts of the city to set up for our preaching and gospel drama presentations. God blessed despite the opposition and many individuals surrendered their lives to Jesus as Lord and Savior.
We made the jump to hold two evening services because of over-crowding in attendance. We are sad that not all the church can be together at one time now, but we had to do something to keep from turning people away. We trust that soon we'll be able to locate larger facilities to accommodate the increased attendance. And it does continue to increase. Just last Sunday we baptized six new converts and we have several more that are prepared to be baptized at the next opportunity. We will be meeting with the parent/teachers association of a nearby public school about the possibility of either using or renting the school's facilities for our services on weekends. We seek God's guidance in this venture so that we may know if it will be beneficial to spiritual and numerical growth. Pray with us as you remember us concerning this request, please.
God is doing wonderful things in my own heart. He is teaching me through His Word to prize Him above any and everything else. He pours out His grace and love and I am finding that time spent with Him is so sweet. I am also discovering that it is a battle to find and hold on to that precious privilege. So many activities cry out to be attended to, but I am learning that above all, I must guard my heart for intimacy with the Lord. I am so thankful to you who pray for me. God blesses those prayers and continually strengthens me for His glory.
May God richly bless you, too.
In Jesus' love,
Bobby, Charlene, Jessie and Brennen Wacaser
