Dear Friends,

It may seem strange to some, but there was a sweet sense of satisfaction when I typed in our Brazilian address again. I haven't been able to do that for the past twelve months and I missed it. This past year we spent in the U.S. has been blessed and we truly did enjoy meeting many of you personally through our visits. Frankly, though, we are ready to return to our ministries in Southern Brazil. We are motivated about the opportunities that God has placed before us and we trust that there will be much fruit to be harvested in the coming months and years.

I just spoke with Pastor Edinei on the phone and he gave me an encouraging report of the work in Curitiba. The evangelistic Bible study course he teaches is going smoothly and there are a couple more additions to the class. Edinei was especially pleased that his brother-in-law, Edianderson, and his sister, Joyce, are participating faithfully. There is another addition to that group that gives me great comfort. Edilson is a twenty-year-old young man who used to be in a street gang. He was befriended by Isabelle, a young lady from our church. For several years Isabelle was active in our church, but as a young adult, she almost abandoned the way of the Lord. About two years ago she returned and began to be active in different outreach ministries. She met Edilson, took a liking to him, but knew better than to get emotionally involved with someone who did not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She continued to witness to Edilson and invite him to church services. He began to attend and now he rarely misses a service. We believe that he will be making a public profession of his faith in the very near future, for it seems that God has worked in his heart.

The Project Life motor home will be returning to Curitiba for the last two weeks of December for maintenance and also for the workers to spend a few days with their families before returning to the road again after the New Year's holidays. Paulo Novaes and his team have seen the Lord do some remarkable things this year. They had the privilege to present the gospel to over 125,000 people. Many of these accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord and are doing correspondence Bible studies with our team. We have a sense of responsibility to get churches started in the towns and cities where these folks live so that they might be able to follow the Lord in baptism and discipleship. That will be our number one priority as we return to Brazil later this month. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. May the Lord bless you richly.

In Christ's love,

Bobby Wacaser
