December 5, 2007

Dear Friends,

Many of you are certain to remember one of our earliest and faithful converts, Edinei. Edinei and his uncle, Eder, were just boys of 8 and 9 years of age when they began to attend our new work in our garage 21 years ago. Both were saved, baptized, and became actively involved in the various ministries. Edinei pastored the Bible Baptist Church in my absence during my last furlough in 2003. Two weeks ago Edinei received the news that he has malignant melanoma cancer in an advanced stage. He is 29 years old, will be celebrating his 5th wedding anniversary on December 21st, and has a 1 ½ year old daughter. His doctors have suggested that he begin chemotherapy immediately. We ask that you would pray with us for his recovery. We have seen God do much greater things than this and we know that He is able to do so again. We seek His will and His glory and we trust that He will do what is right and good.

Our evangelistic teams, Alpha and Logos have concluded their long distance travels for the year of 2007. God blessed tremendously during the course of the year. We had the opportunity to share the gospel with over 100,000 people in the public schools and parks. More than 2,000 individuals professed Jesus as their Savior publicly. A couple of weeks ago, Charlene and I traveled down about 300 miles to encourage one of our teams. The city where they were ministering has one Baptist work that is just beginning and we were there to help this new work. During the course of the week there were 45 professions of faith in Christ. I don't know who was more encouraged, we or our team.

We are still awaiting the delivery of our third travel bus to add to our outreach teams. This third team will be called "Agape". We already have a team prepared to use this bus as soon as it arrives. We will need to begin the process of transforming it into a motor home as soon as possible and as soon as we have the funds available. With our busses fully equipped, we can avoid expensive room and board costs and they also serve as mobile headquarters for evangelism and church planting. The built-in public address system and large outdoor screen provide ways of communicating Christian films and messages.

Charlene organized a spiritual growth retreat for our ladies recently and it was a tremendous success. I have heard from several of the ladies who attended and they shared with me that God blessed them through the event. One of the ladies attending is in the middle of chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer, and her testimony of God's grace and love in her trials served to encourage many of the other ladies.

Jessie and Brennen, our daughter and son, have recently completed another school year. Jessie will begin her final year of high school in February and Brennen will begin the fourth grade. They are both growing stronger in their walk with the Lord. I thank God so much for the privilege of being their father and I am especially thankful for His Word and grace in raising them.

We have taken a semi-furlough of two months to the USA. I have a full schedule of speaking engagements for the period, and we are getting the opportunity to visit nearly all of our relatives while here in Florida and Georgia. I am grateful to the pastors and churches who have invited us to share our ministries and to all of you who pray and support us regularly. May God bless you richly for your love and faithfulness.

In Christ's love,

Bobby, Charlene, Jessie and Brennen Wacaser
