Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Savior Jesus Christ:

This Mission Sheets Month began May 6th and finished today June 4th, 2007. Once again we greet you from our house and home located at number 2, Francisco José Furtado Street, São Francisco, 69079, Manaus, Amazonas, Brasil. During this Mission Sheets Month I preached 8 sermons – 7 at the 24th of March Baptist Church where I am the pastor. The other sermon I will write about later in this letter.

During these days I heard a total of seven sermons preached. Marie and I were blessed by the three sermons that co-pastor Ediberto Ribeiro preached, and the one that deacon Antonio Oliveira delivered at the church. I heard a sermon preached at the First Baptist Church by a pastor from São Paulo in interest of World Missions. We also were blessed hearing a sermon by a lay preacher at the church.

Yesterday morning I preached at the 24th of March Baptist Church to 46 people present. Last night, 80 were present and we heard a gospel message by Pastor Raimundo de Oliveira. Brother Raimundo is completely blind and has an incurable disease. He has a wife and an eight year old daughter who were with him. He is the brother of Pastor Sebastião de Oliveira, who is blind also. He told us that he has fooled his doctors by still living when they told him he would soon be dead. He sang some four hymns. When he gave the invitation, two ten year old girls responded by making their profession of faith. They thus caused happiness both on the earth and in heaven. Pray for Diana da Costa Freitas, born June 18, 1996 and Palomma Soares de Espirito Santo, born July 10, 1996.

Also, please pray for the Igreja Batista Belo Jardim – Beautiful Garden Baptist Church, pastor and people. This church sends in regular offerings to Baptist Faith Missions. We thank all of you who contribute to the regular fund and offerings designated to us. May the Lord bless us all!
