Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Savior:

This Mission Sheets month began August 3rd and finishes the morning of September 3rd. During the month of August I heard 4 sermons preached and I preached 10 sermons, 5 were preached at the 24th of March BC where I am the pastor. Friday night, August 6th I preached at the Celestial BC where Gilmar Moraes Da Silva is the pastor. Saturday morning at 6:00am, Marie and I and Dona Janete Gomes Nunes left our house in a car driven by Francisco Chagas Rodrigues Braz. Four hours later we arrived at Parana da Eva where we left the car and traveled by boat to the house of Evandro and family where we stayed until Sunday afternoon. That night I preached to 60 at the New Jerusalem BC where Ediberto Ribeiro da Silva is the pastor. He stayed in Manaus with the 24th of March BC. Sunday morning I preached again at the New Jerusalem BC. A former member of the church died the day before in Manaus and the body was brought to the church. Dora Dias dos Santos was 65 years old; thus my second message was a funeral message.

That afternoon, after dinner and nap, Marie and I left with Evandro and family in his canoe and after traveling up river around 15 minutes we arrived at a new village. There we waited while preparation was made for the night service held in the house built by Salomão Moreira Nunes. We were honored for our 45 years as missionaries to Brazil. I preached to the 117 people present. We then spent the night in the home of a young couple next door to Salomão´s house. Early the next morning we left and returned to Manaus.
