Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Savior:

Here in the land of eternal summer, it has been 17 days since we have had rain. This morning it is raining and is a little cooler. We praise the Lord!

This Mission Sheets month began August 3rd and ended today, September 5th. During these days I preached ten sermons, eight at the 24th of March Baptist Church, one at Belo Jardim Baptist Church where Edilson is pastor and one at the Moria Baptist Church where José Francisco da Silva is the pastor. This pastor has been a worker of the Brazilian BFM for many, many years. He retired from being pastor at Moria several years ago, but continued to be a member. After a confusion with the then pastor, the church called Brother Francisco again as their pastor. He accepted and is doing a remarkable job for his age. He is 86 years old and performed a baptism of a man and his wife before I preached the birthday service. During the same time period I heard six sermons here in Manaus. I also assisted in the celebration of two persons' birthdays in their homes. Also I attended three special programs. On the 18th of August Marie and I attended our granddaughter's graduation from the University Nilton Lins with a degree in Nutrition. Congratulations, Marcia Luciana! May the Lord continue to bless and guide you in your plans for the future as you continue your studies.

On the 7th and again on the 28th of August, I received treatments administered by the hands of Dr. James K. Olsgewski at the Amazonas Chiropractic Center. The Lord bless him and the Tabernacle Church. Please pray for my beloved wife, Hattie Marie Moore Bratcher who is still coughing after three weeks. She is still taking several medications. I only have one living brother. My two older brothers, David and Donald have gone to live with the Lord. Charles, my living brother and his wife Reva last month celebrated their 50th Wedding anniversary. “Parabéns” and Congratulations to Charles and Reva Bratcher of Frankfort, Kentucky.

Continue to pray for us because we need the prayers of those we love. Also continue to contribute to the Regular Fund and we need the designated offerings (personal and as needed) for us as the dollar rate is so low. Our thanks and appreciation.

May the Lord bless each one of you, is our prayer.

Yours in the Service of the Savior,

Harold and Marie Bratcher
