Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Savior:

We (Marie and I) believe Romans 8:28. We believe that all that happens to us is the will of God; either directive or permissive. Therefore we shall never be discouraged but we should be of “good cheer.” John 16:33. There is a reason why the Lord has permitted my latest Mission Sheets letter not to be published in the last Mission Sheets. Our son Stephen reported this fact to us. We have also missed receiving two Mission Sheets. Permit me add some words to Galatians 5:9, “And let us not be weary in (writing the monthly Mission Sheet letter) well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

This Mission Sheets month began October 4th and ended today, November 4th. During these days I preached nine sermons, eight at the 24th of March Baptist Church, and one at the 4th Mission of the Celestial Baptist Church Moria where Wanderley is the evangelist. This brother is married with an eighteen month old daughter. During the same time period I heard nine sermons here in Manaus; two at the 24th of March Baptist Church, one at the 14th of December Baptist Church celebration of the Brazilian Baptist Faith Mission, four at the Ida Nelson Baptist Institute where I attended a special training on discipleship and two at the Saint John the Baptist Cemetery on the 2nd of November – the day of the dead when many people go to the cemeteries to mourn for their deceased loved ones burning candles. Fifteen of us from three churches held services first at the grave of Joel Harold Bratcher where Pastor Ediberto preached and then Pastor Arlindo Folha preached at Missionary Eurico Alfredo Nelson’s grave. We also gave out gospel tracts. After the services, Marie with the help of two other sisters served us all a lunch. My heart was comforted with the the words I heard from the Bible messages.

Continue to pray for us because we need the prayers of those we love. Also continue to contribute to the Regular Fund and we need the designated offerings (personal and as needed) for us as the dollar rate is so low. Our thanks and appreciation. We are praying that you, brothers and sisters, will read this letter.

May the Lord bless each one of you, is our prayer.

Yours in the Service of the Savior,

Harold and Marie Bratcher
