Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ:

This Mission Sheets month began October 7th and ends today, November 8th. During this period, I preached two sermons: Sunday morning, the 19th, we attended and I preached at Clarksville Baptist Church, Richmond Kentucky, Bradley Johns, pastor; that night I preached at David’s Fork Baptist Church, Pastor Mickey Hyder.

During the same period, we heard seven sermons preached – one at a Richmond, Kentucky Funeral Home where we attended the funeral service for Earl Ray Howard, 22 years old. Sunday morning, the 12th, at David’s Fork Baptist Church, and that night at New Life Baptist Church, Steve Wainright, pastor.

Sunday morning, the 26th of October, we, Marie and I and Steve Blake attended from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm the worship service at the Historic Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Lexington, Kentucky, Rev. Dr. Thomas H. Peoples, Jr. Pastor. The church was celebrating the 218th Anniversary of the church’s organization. The preacher was the Rev. Dr. Frank Houston, pastor of First Baptist Church, Georgetown Kentucky. Three hundred people were present. We stayed for dinner and very good food was served. That night, we attended the Devondale Baptist Church, Bobby Aldridge, pastor. Prayer was offered during the service for Mrs. Bea Curd’s healing.

Sunday morning, November 2nd, we attended Heritage Baptist Church, Dr. Greg Waltermire, pastor. That night, Thompson Road Baptist Church, where Dave Parks is pastor.

Besides those sermons heard, we attended the Prayer Meeting each Wednesday night at Lexington Trinity Baptist Church, Dr. Jay David Robinson, pastor.

On the 7th of October, Mrs. Evelyn Smith and the Heritage Sunday School Class were a blessing to us, paying for a pair of winter shoes and a pair of winter boots. Thank you, dear sisters of the Lord!

We were blessed by attending a first time special service November 2nd at Heritage Baptist Church – “Room At the Inn” – where Heritage was the Inn and twenty homeless men of Lexington were the guests. The men were served a bountiful supper and a bed to sleep in and breakfast the next morning.

On the morning of November 4th, Marie and I voted. let us pray for the President-elect Barak Obama and Senator Joe Biden, Vice-President-elect.

Pray, please, for my right eye to be healed and for the operation I need on my left eye.

Last night we attended and I brought the message for the children and parents present, estimated twenty present, at the special monthly meeting at Lexington Trinity Baptist Church.
