Dear Fellow-saints,
We attended the Mission Conference in Lexington at the Thompson Road Baptist Church and it was wonderful. The food, fellowship, and preaching was excellent. The attendance was very good and a good offering was received to help the General Fund. We want to thank Brother David Parks and that great church for sponsoring it.
We are beginning to pack our bags to return to Brazil after this short visit. We were able to be here for the birth of our second great-grandchild last week. Ursula is to go to her doctor in St. Louis next week, and then we will participate in the marriage ceremony of our oldest grandson the 24th of this month. One week later we are to leave out for Brazil. Ursula is now signed up for Medicare and we are to draw our Social Security this month. Makes you feel a little older!
By the time you read this we will already be back home in Brazil. The works there are doing well. We talked to Brother Edvan at the Novo Diamantino Baptist Church this afternoon and that church is growing. Several were saved and baptized there recently. The community is really growing and the church attendance has grown a lot in the past year. A large factory is being built near this town, which is causing a lot of new people to move in.
The next letter to you will be from Central Brazil, the Lord willing. Ursula is really struggling with her arthritis right now. Pray for her. She is always with a lot of pain and fatigue. She doesn't give up easily, but sometimes gets a little discouraged. I talked tonight with Brother Bob Creiglow and we need to always remember him as he tries to take care of his precious wife, Betty. I plan to go there day after tomorrow to spend the night with them on my way to Lexington to speak in two churches on Sunday.
We thank all of you who give to the General Fund and to our designated funds for our works in Brazil. We try and send a personal letter out to you when we can, but in some cases we don't always have your address. Send us an e-mail and we will respond, or a letter and we will have your address. God bless all of you is our prayer.
In Christ,
Harold and Ursula Draper
