Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Thank you for your prayers and regular support. Your giving keeps us here and God answers your prayers as He promises to do. Yesterday we were very encouraged when at the close of service Joachim suggested that we could give to make it possible for a particular missionary to return to the field. We had not made any suggestions to this effect. He had already considered what He could give. Grace overflows. The book of Acts illustrates this as well as Paul’s letter to the Philippians. We praise God for this evidence of His Spirit in at work in the life of believers here.
We are also thankful for the evidence of God’s Spirit drawing unsaved people to Christ. A few weeks ago as I was walking away from the ATM where I had just withdrawn cash, I came face to face with our neighbor and her son. We have asked you to pray for Jean-Luc and Mireille and their two sons. Mireille said, "It is good that we ran into you as Romain has something to ask you". Romain, her son then said, “I was wondering if you had an extra Bible that you could loan me. I am interested in reading it.” This, of course, delighted me and the next day I crossed the street to their house to give Romain a Bible. I began by explaining to him how that Bible is arranged and ended by being able to share the Gospel with Romain and his mother for two hours. Mireille, to whom we have witnessed several times, does not believe God exists. Her confidence is in mankind. Pray for us as we continue to witness in actions and words to this family.
The Vacation Bible School went well. Through stories and songs the children heard and had the Good News reinforced. As they sing at home the songs they have learned and show and tell about their crafts, they also pass the Gospel on to their unsaved parents. It takes a lot of work to get all of this together, but the ladies enjoy it and it is an excellent way to share the Gospel.
We were blessed during the month of May to have Tom and Lisa Fallwell visit us. They are the parents of our daughter-in-law, who serve with us here along with Philip. Tom is also the one of the Pastors of our sending church. Tom always encourages me by asking what they can be doing for us and insisting that we let them know of any needs that we have. We are very thankful for the faithful service of John Newland and Tom Fallwell, our pastors, and the commitment that Emmanuel Baptist Church of Evansville, Indiana displays in their service and giving to us.
Our various Bible studies are going well and the Lord continues to give us more contacts where we can show and speak of Christ.

John and Judy Hatcher
