Dear Brethren,
We are already over half way through furlough. Beverly and I have enjoyed better weather than we could have hoped for. Believe me, we have been thanking the Lord. The visits to churches have been fun and I hope a blessing to each of you as it has to us.
The Winter Conference was really good. Park Ridge Baptist Church and her pastor, Brother King, did a fantastic job. On the final day we were presented a check to buy the satellite phone! They even gave us enough money to buy the first year of minutes. What a blessing.
The word from home is that the crowds continue to pack in at church and each week a few souls have been saved. They have had a few problems, but what else is new? We haven’t heard much from the works on the rivers. We did hear that missionary Hudson and pastor Eliésio made the survey trip down river. This was supposed to be one of my trips before leaving for furlough. Time and money were lacking, though. Still, it is good to know that the guys continue to do the job while I am away. Perhaps they will send me a full report soon.
Well, our weekends are all filled in already, but if any of you would like to have us visit on a week night, don’t be shy. I know that most pastors really only want us to see their Sunday morning crowd. However, it does not bother me to present the work to any group of people, no matter how small.
Sorry that our furlough could not be longer. It would be great to get around and see many of you and refresh your memories of our work. The field is already tugging hard at me though. A four-month furlough is plenty long.
Don’t forget our needs for equipment. We still need funding for the GPS unit and the shallow water motor. The GPS costs $500.00 and the mud motor costs $4,500.00. Also, there is always the ever present need for gas money. Every time you fill up at $2.25, remember, Mike is filling his tank in Brazil for a mission trip at $6.00!

Thanks so much for all of your most faithful support in prayer and finances.
May God bless you.
In Christ,
Mike Creiglow
