Dear Praying Friends,

Greetings from Nairobi, Kenya! We arrived here yesterday, and we are glad to be back to the land and people that we love. God was good to give us safe travel here. Lord willing, tomorrow we will be traveling to Kitale where we live, so we are anxious to see our people there. We enjoyed being in the States, and visiting many of our supporting churches, and meeting new friends. Also, we were able to spend time at our home church, Calvary Baptist in Hurricane, WV, and loved getting to know our church family better. So, thanks to each of you who made us feel so welcomed and loved.

The highlight of our month was the birth of our third granddaughter, McKenna Eileen Radford. McKenna arrived on April 26th, and weighed a healthy 8 pounds, and 7 ounces. She is beautiful, and we are so thankful to our Lord for her birth, and the fact that she was born before we left, so that we could see her.

Many of you prayed for Pam's eye surgery. She had her surgery on April 1st, and did well. The excessive skin between her eyelids and eyebrows was removed so that now she can see better, in that her eyes are opening wider. Before we left, she saw the doctor again and received the Botox injections around her eyes. This will allow the spasms of her eyes that plague her to stop for a time, so we are thankful for this relief. Thank you so much for your prayers for Pam, and for us.

Our son-in-law, Graig Austin, is here with a team from the University of Michigan. Graig brings a team to Kenya every year to give the team opportunities to see God at work in a different culture. This year, it is a smaller team, as our daughter, Sara, was not able to come. Kaily, our little granddaughter who was born three months early, has not been released to make an overseas trip yet, so Sara stayed back with her. Kaily is eight months old now and weighs over twelve pounds, and is doing so well. God has been so good to allow this little one to progress well, and we thank Him for His goodness.

The Kenyan government seems to be stable at this time. Gasoline prices have gone up considerably, as gasoline is over $7.00 per gallon, and food prices are up 25%. The world continues to have many problems, but we know that the Lord's return must be soon, as we see the situations all over the world getting worse. We need to be busy about our Father's business, as our time on this earth is short.

Thanks so much for your financial giving, and prayers for us. We really enjoyed attending the BFM Spring Conference at Thompson Road Baptist, and seeing many of you there. It was great seeing the John Hatchers, Paul and Wanda Hatcher, Harold and Ursula Draper, and Sheridan and Anita Stanton. We don't have this opportunity to see fellow missionaries with BFM very often, so this was a real treat.

We look forward to Roger and Julie Tate and their family joining us here soon. Lord willing, we will meet them in Nairobi on June 9th to travel up to Kitale together. We are looking forward to ministering with them so much.

May our Lord richly bless you for your love, encouragement, and prayers for us. You are a definite part of our team, and we thank you for your involvement in world missions. Until next time, may you feel our Lord's presence in your lives, as we all work together for Him while we still have time.

With grateful hearts for you,

Mike and Pam
