Dear praying friends,

Greetings from Kitale. It is now the second month of the New Year, and it seems that the time continues to pass faster and faster each year. May we ever be more committed to serving the Lord this year than ever before. I will give you an update on the work here for the past month, as well as share prayer requests.

I am thrilled with some news that I received lately from the prison. When I first started teaching and discipling the prisoners last year, I was given strict limits and regulations concerning the times and days during the week that I was allowed to come and share the Word of God. Recently, as I held a meeting with one of the top prison officials, I asked him about how the work was going, if he had any suggestions, critiques, etc., and he told me that it is now possible to come and teach the Word of God at any day during the week at any time! This is truly exciting, as we are now able to really expand upon the ministries and to take full advantage of the opportunity that the Lord has given us to be used even more in His service there. We have now extended an extra day during our week and are looking into even more expansion. We have formed three brand new groups on the extra day that we have allotted, and it is truly exciting. Praise the Lord for His work there, and for allowing us this wonderful opportunity to be used in His service and work.

We had an exciting first couple of weeks this past month, as we shared the good news with two brand new groups of prisoners. We used the evangelism program that I taught in our church called "Sharing Jesus Without Fear". At the invitation between both groups, we saw twenty-five men place their faith in Christ as Savior! Many of those that made that decision for Christ have been asking for additional materials, and also for other helps to assist them in their spiritual walk. I have so many thought concerning even further teaching and training that I would like to implement in the near future, so please pray that God would direct and guide me as there is still much work to be done for His glory there.

One of the ministries that I really enjoy as well is teaching in the Bible school here in Kitale. This past term was really challenging to me, as I was able to teach further Bible doctrines, as well as challenge the students with the teachings that were presented. It is exciting for me, as I see the future leaders of the church wanting to grow so much in their faith and walk with God. It is one of my goals to challenge and stretch the students to think critically, yet it seems like every term in the school the students challenge me even more, and are also such a blessing to me. Please pray for each of these students as they are now doing their projects, and have been facing challenging exams. Also, pray that each of them would be able to grow in their knowledge of the Scriptures, and that we would truly be a challenge and blessing to them from the Scriptures.

That is all the current news from Kit ale. Please keep me in your prayers, and as always, thank you so much for your letters, emails, and other encouragement that you have given me since I have been here in Kitale. God bless you, and may we ever serve Him this coming year more faithfully than ever before.

Because of Him,

Nathan Radford
