Dear praying friends,

Greetings from the beautiful land of Kenya! I wanted to give you an update on what God is doing here in Kitale, and also share some prayer requests with you.

I am amazed out how quickly time has gone, as I have now been in Kenya for over two months. God has taught me so much in this amount of time, and I want to be open to the opportunities that He gives me each day to help others draw closer to Him.

The evangelism and discipleship ministry continues to keep me busy. I have been challenged as I have tried to not only disciple new believers myself, but also to teach others here in Kenya how to disciple after a person becomes a Christian. We presently are discipling 17, so God has been good to allow us the opportunity to work with those who have trusted Christ as Savior. Please pray that the nationals here would understand and apply the truths that they are learning, so I can multiply myself through others.

I also had a great time, and gained some valuable experience in working with the youth here in Kenya during our VBS. One of my duties was to help out with the game time, and I was challenged to think of creative ways to help our kids have a good time through the VBS. I also was able to counsel some of the youth that went forward at the invitation after the teaching was given from the Scriptures. I not only want to teach the youth in Kenya, but I also want to become good friends and develop relationships with them. I see so much potential in the youth that attend Calvary Baptist Church of Kitale.

Finally, I am praying that God would possibly open the door to do a jail ministry here in Kitale. While I attended my Bible college, I served in a jail ministry for one year. God taught me so much during that time, and I saw many needs in the prisoners, such as love, friendship, etc. Many times prisoners have no one to associate with in the world outside, and I would like to have the opportunity to be able to minister here in the prison in Kitale, so I would ask you to please pray that God would open this door, if it would be His will.

I will close for now, but I would love to hear from any of you that would like to write. My contact information is above. God bless you.

Sincerely,

Nathan Radford
