Dear Friends,
Greetings to all from Huanuco, Peru; the city of eternal springtime! Anita and I have had another great month. I baptized six into the fellowship of our church here in Huanuco. I have spent a lot of time getting the construction underway for the Mission Work in Huariaca. The Baptist Faith Missions Missionary Adventures Team will be working on this project also when they arrive on the 17th of July. We are excited about their coming down to help. I also had another week long, eight hours per day, Bible Institute class two weeks ago. 38 preachers and pastors from all over Peru attended the course on Old Testament Introduction. We had a great time and always enjoy the fellowship.
The Faith Baptist Church in Huaral (Pacific coast north of Lima) continues on with their building project. I can only help them so much each month with money for building materials. They are doing all the work themselves with no one being paid to work. They work a few hours in the afternoons and all day on Saturday. It is not progressing very fast, but they are making progress and doing a good job. Please remember them in your prayers.
Pastor Daniel Gonzales of the Jordan Baptist Church of Pucallpa (out in the jungle), has asked me to make known their need of $1000.00 for a mission work they have started in the town of Contamana (down the Ucayali River). The money is needed to buy the property and build a simple wooden meeting house.
Anita and I love to hear from you. We have another small group coming down in November and another work team coming down next summer. We would love to have you come down and visit the Lord's work here in Peru sometime.
Until next month.
Serving Jesus in Peru,
Sheridan and Anita Stanton
